Risk Assessment Application with FMEA Method in Universal and CNC Controlled Lathe Machines

Developing technology and production needs are increasing the need for machinery metal sector. On lathe machine, is one of most widely used machines in sector, work accidents serious occupational diseases occur every year. In order to prevent this, it has become a necessity create an safety culture general. existing hazards possible small large enterprises necessary identify them first make effective risk assessment offer solutions. When making assessment, becomes clear that arising from hazard any machine cannot be ignored, all dangerous situations should revealed detail solutions proposed accordingly. this study, risks terms health universal CNC lathes university laboratory were revealed, was carried out with Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) method priority numbers calculated. While 6 important 4 fundamental determined lathe, 1 risk, 5 essential lathe. According these results, corrective actions solution suggestions presented. We think study will positive contributions use lathes, which both manufacturing workshops educational purposes laboratories.
